Gerardo Cabrera
Team SYLVANIA PHENOM
Position: Co-Driver
Hometown: Ramona, CA
Location: Baja, Mexico
Years of Racing: 10 year
I have family in Ejido Uruapan and started watching score races at a kid with my family and got hooked ever since. After racing potos/quads in small off road series I started to get very familiar with the Baja terrain, eventually transitioning to racing in the SCORE sportsman moto/pro moto class. Later in my racing career, Team SYLVANIA PHENOM invited me on as a Co-Pilot and the rest is history.

What’s your favorite part of race weekend?:
My favorite part of race weekend is spending time with all my family, friends and most of all enjoying Baja itself, always something new.
How did you get into off road racing?:
got into racing by shadowing my older brother and pitting for him at his races which eventually led to us building our own racing team and enjoying Baja together as family.
What's playing on the radio during a trail day?
I usually play a wide variety of music depending on how I’m feeling that day can either be Heavy metal, Alternative Rock, 90s hip hop.
What's your favorite part about being part of the off road community?:
The friends you build while racing, the places you get to know, the memories with family and friends, we are all there to try and win but at the same time help out others whenever it’s needed Baja is a really big and great place sometimes in the middle of no where and help is needed so the brotherhood down there is awesome.
